Inclement Weather Policy
Inclement Weather Policy
The safety and comfort of our guests and our staff is our highest priority. We will remain operational when the Weather Network forecast predicts temperatures as low as -23 C (not including windchill) or an air quality index under 8.5. An official announcement to our guests will typically be announced within 24hrs of your scheduled booking however operations may be subject to change without notice.
All programs may be subject to postponement and/ or cancellation due to weather, air or trail conditions. Participants will receive a cancellation notification by email or text.
Should we suspend operations, scheduled activities and reservations will be rebooked to an alternate date during the current season.
Waivers
The appropriate waiver(s) must be completed by all guests prior to active participation in the chosen activity. Failure to complete the waiver(s) will result in service being denied or restricted.
Cancellations / Refunds / Rescheduling of Lessons and Programs
Group and private instructional lessons, camp fees, tubing / luging bookings are refundable (minus 15% e-commerce processing fee) if canceled at least 48 hours prior to the lesson or session commencement date.
Appointment, lesson or program rescheduling changes must be requested by the guest via email to guestservices@edmontonskiclub.com and will be subject to a $20 administrative fee per occurrence. Bookings cannot be rescheduled if request is less that 48hrs prior to the start time.
No refund or credit will be given to participants who elect to miss lessons, programs or activities for any reason except due to serious illness or injury that must be verified with a doctor's note outlining the applicable dates missed. Lessons, programs and activity bookings are conducted in all weather conditions in which the business is open for operations, however we will cancel and reschedule lessons, programs and bookings affected by extreme weather conditions as outlined in our Inclement Weather Policy noted above.
Should you choose to miss a lesson due to temperatures that still fall within our normal operating threshold there will be no refund or credit provided.
No shows or guests arriving late for a scheduled lesson by more than 15 minutes, for whatever reason, will be automatically considered absent and the applicable fees and charges being deemed non-refundable.
An air quality index of 8.5 or higher will result in the cancellation of scheduled classes. Cancelled classes to be re-scheduled at discretion of Edmonton Ski Club, based on the existing class schedules.
If a private lesson, multi-day program or seasonal camp is rescheduled or canceled due to weather and/or the new date does not work with your schedule, you are entitled to a credit only for the missed session to be used towards future bookings made in the same operating season.
If you elect to miss a booking that a credit amount has been applied, the credit will be considered null and void.
Credits will not carry forward outside of the season that the product or service was purchased in. Credits are only applicable for the operational season and year they were purchased for: ie. Summer 2024 credits conclude as of August 31, 2024. Winter 2024/25 credits conclude at the end of that season in March 31, 2025 unless noted otherwise.
